Course Description
Foundations of music theory: Staff, G and F clefs, whole note, half note, quarter note, eighth note and sixteenth notes, score writing technique. Tetrachords and scales. Introduction to scale degrees in major and minor scales, identifying scale degrees by ear and vocalizing them. Key and key signature relationship. Singing diatonic pieces in major and minor scale, in all the keys. Rhythmic dictation and singing exercises.
