Course Description

This course provides an introduction to basic concepts of digital geophysical signal processing carried out following field data acquisition prior to geophysical modeling and interpretation. The topics covered in this course are classification of signals, linear system theory, sampling, continuous and discrete Fourier transform, Z-transform, filter design and filtering, spectral analysis and random processes.
