Course Description |
The course firstly introduces the architectural styles. Early Christian architecture, Romanesque architecture, Gothic architecture, the
modern conditions in the genesis of the Renaissance, the shift from the regularity of the Renaissance to the subjectivity of
Mannerism and its reasons, the complexity of architecture during the periods of Baroque and Rococo with total and multi-layered
design ideas., together with the introduction of light and spatial effects in architecture, palatial architecture and urban design in
these periods are examined. The architecture in the Ottoman Empire’s Westernization period is also examined. |
