| Course Description |
| Playing the scales of Tatyan Kerem. Exercises for intro by using the melody samples. Exercises for melodies with fifth and
seventh rhythmic patterns. Different partition of the rhythmic patterns and melodies with fifth and seventh note values.
Exercises with double strings. Melody and rhythm exercises by changing the position of the kemençe. Exercises for türkü and
folk dance melodies with fifth and seventh note values, most frequently seen in Karadeniz region. Synchronization exercises
with the accompaniment of rhythm instruments. Melody exercises in different tunings. Exercises for “yol havası”. Passing from
one style to other in one melody. Bowing and melody styles differing in Trabzon, Giresun, Ordu, Samsun and Rize. Accenting
the rhythm with the presses while pushing and pulling the bow. Techniques to indicate the rhythms at the beginning and at
the end of the bowing and to complete the inner rhythm by hitting the fingers. Passing from one time to other (2, 3, 4, 5, 6,
7, 8, 9, 10) without pausing. Passing from “yol havası” to rhythmic melodies. Transposition exercises. |
