| Course Description |
| This course focuses on the concept of rock-forming minerals with a brief review of silica structures, classification
of silica minerals, chemical classification of the minerals, geochemical analyses of the minerals and formulae
calculations from chemical analysis results. To understand the rocks these minerals form, the descriptions of
magmatic rock-forming minerals and its related rocks, metamorphic rock-forming minerals and its related rocks,
carbonate minerals and its related rocks is provided. |
