| Systems engineering methodology applied to the design of information processing systems (operating systems,
file handling, database management systems, spreadsheets, etc.) to support engineering decision making.
Terminology and system concept. System analysis approach. Management levels and decisions. Management
information systems (MIS). Report types in MIS. Database management systems (DBMS). A sample DBMS:
