Second order differential equations: Introduction. Singularities and series solutions. Frobenius method. Special functions: Cylindrical and spherical coordinates. Sturm-Liouville problem. Bessel, Neumann, Modified Bessel functions. Legendre polynomials. Associated Legendre functions. Spherical harmonics. Fourier-Legendre series. Asymptotic behaviors of certain special functions.
