Course Description |
Ratio scale, interval scale, closed, directional and ordinal scale data and their applications in geology; Collecting,
preparing and displaying data; One variable data analysis in geology; Basic statistical parameters, frequency
distribution and histogram; Two variable data analysis in geology; Correlation coefficient, classical linear
regression analysis and their applications in geology; Presenting and interpreting rare earth elements (REEs) in
the chondrite-normalized diagrams; The concept and applications of mineral chemistry with selected examples;
Graphical classification and principles of volcanic and plutonic rocks; Ternary diagrams and applications in
geology; Creating geological and topographic maps of digitized environments; Derivation of digital terrain models
of regions with numerical data and processing of engineering geology data on these models. |
