| Course Description |
| Haulage through ore pass drifts: chutes and spiral conveyors. Chain conveyors: estimations of force, power, chain elongation
and pretension. Slushers. Rope haulage, monorails, main and tail rope haulage. Load-haul-dump, shuttle cars and truck
transportation. Rail haulage: cars, locomotives, capacity and power estimations. Belt conveyers: estimations of pulling-tension
forces, and power. Mine water sources-prevention-collection-drainage-disposal. Pump types, centrifugal pumps. Pumping
systems. Head loss and power estimations in water drainage lines. Hydraulic (slurry) transportation. |
