Course Description |
This course encourages students to research representation techniques in architecture through different practices and theoretical
discussions. In the course, with the acknowledgement of representation as a conception, production and communication tool in
architecture; each week a place is researched through technical and free hand drawing. Various productions are performed,
those which bring together traditional drawing and sketching techniques of the discipline of architecture and representation tools
of other disciplines, such as collage, painting, photography, film, animation, mapping, etc. Practices and discussions are
conducted around visual representation of the seen, perceived and experienced in architecture. Through representational
practices, social and intellectual dimensions of urban and architectural space in architecture are problematized. |
