| Course Description |
| Sound absorption, factors effective on absorption, (frequency. Thickness, binding material,
density, roughness of the surface, the place of application, the holes on the surface, paint).
Material selection. Classification of sound absorptive materials. Porous material (prefabricated
acoustical units, acoustical plasters and spray materials, acoustical blankets). Panel or membrane
absorbers. Cavity or Helmholz resonators (single space resonators, perforated panel resonators,
slit resonators). Variable absorbers. Space absorbers. Mounting of sound absorbing material
(reverberation control, echo control, noise reduction in rooms.) |
