Course Description

The course focuses on the milieu Sinan was brought up as an architect, space, structure, mass and façade design of his buildings (mosques, mesjids, madrassas, baths, tombs, etc., complexes, bridges and water supply systems). It explores the experimental development of his design concepts, the use of building materials and reveals Sinan’s contribution to the Ottoman and world architecture.
