Course Description |
Statistical ensembles. Canonical and grand canonicals ensemble. Free energy chemical
potential and fugacity. Ising model and lattice gases. Mean field theory. Bethe-Peierls
approach. Statistical models on Bethe lattice. Landau theory of phase transitions.
Critical phenomena and critical exponents, scaling theory. Simple renormalisation
group transformationss. Fermi and Bose statics. Bose condensation. Interacting quantum
systems. Boltzmann transport equatıon, coefficients, approach to equilibrium. Monte
