Course Description |
State reduction for synchronous sequential circuits. State assignment techniques that will give minimum complexity in synchronous sequential circuits. Some combinational circuit elements (Demultiplexer, Multiplexer, decoder, encoder, magnitude comparator, memory elements). Universal sequential circuits, register design. Common bus design and transfer between registers. Modulo counter design. Perturbation technique. Frequency divider design. Realization of sequential circuits using algorithmic state machine charts. Control unit design. Arithmetic circuit blocks. |
