Course Description |
The role of logic in the context of architectural design theory is treated. Different forms of logic are presented and compared with
respect to their suitability for representing aspects of design process. From this perspective a number of design theoretical issues,
such as subjectivity, multi-objectivity, creativity, and the relationship between cognition and design are addressed. To refine their
understanding, students carry out computer experiments, in which they represent a piece of design knowledge applying logic in an
advanced computational form. |
