General remark on signal and systems. Methods of transfer function realization. Ideal filter characteristics. Realizable filter characteristics. Butterworth filter, Chebyschev filter. Frequency adaptation. Recursive filter design. Frequency warping, pre-warp. FIR filters. Symmetrical and inverse-symmetrical FIR filters. Fourier series method. Gibbs Phenomenon, windowing.
