| Course Description |
| Vocal cultures from various parts of the world are taught in depth through a display of special vocal techniques and of
different forms of polyphonic vocal music. Vocal Techniques: Calls, cries, clamours, voice and breath, spoken, declaimed,
sung, compass and register, colours and timbres, disguised voices, ornamentation, singing in a musical instrument, imitation
of instruments, harmonics. Vocal Polyphony: heterophony, echoes, overlapping voices, drones, ostinati, parallel motion,
oblique motion, contrary motion, chords, counterpoint and combined techniques. |
