Course Description |
For geometrical, mechanical, and hydraulic characterization of discontinuous media in terms of both rock
engineering and reservoir engineering applications ranging in a broad bandwidth from the stability of rock slopes
and the classification systems of rock masses to the characterization of naturally fractured hydrocarbon reservoirs
and hydraulic fracturing operations of unconventional hydrocarbon reservoirs, instructions; on the types and
properties, 1-D and 2-D sampling methods, graphical representation techniques, geostatistical and fractal
analyses, hydraulic, mechanical, and coupled hydro-mechanical behaviors of rock mass discontinuities are the
main focuses of this course. |
