| Course Description |
| Basic properties of sound waves and propagation of sound in a physical environment.
Behaviour of building elements under a sound affect, sound transmission paths in
buildings, calculation of air - borne and structure borne sound transmission loses and
measurement procedures. Analysis of sound transmission characteristics of building
elements: design, construction and materials. Criteria for sound transmission loses
(required noise reductions) in related with the function of the building -
recommendations for the noise control by law. Design of building elements to be able
to provide a sufficient sound insulation |
