Course Description |
This course introduces economic principles and theories as they relate to building design decisions and how to use economic
principles when making design decisions. Within this scope; concepts of value, cost and price are clarified. Economic evaluation
approaches, life-cycle costing, capital planning and budgeting, cost implications of design variables, cost estimating techniques
are showed. The course involves an overview of cost planning stages (outline proposals, detailed proposals and tender
documentation stages) as a design team responsibility. |
