Course Description |
Course focuses on city, environment, and housing problems in the context of urban and social policies and design issues.
Conceptual and theoretical frameworks related to housing are researched in both developing and developed countries. Effects of
Industrialization, urbanization, and migration on housing are examined. In the planned and unplanned developments design
alternatives, social development, and housing policies are addressed through examples. Urban transformation and policies are
discussed through examples of housing. Legal and illegal communication networks between governments and communities and
participatory approaches are examined. |
